Dengue Awareness Campaign
GSK Indonesia started a Dengue Awareness Campaign in 2007 to educate the public on dengue prevention and treatment in order to reduce mortality as a result of the dengue fever. Conducted in partnership with the Indonesian Paediatricians Association (IDAI) and local health authorities, a series of Public Service Announcements, educational write-ups and health talks were conducted to Healthcare professionals and the public. The campaign has reached more than 10,000 people to date and has successfully managed to reduce the number of dengue cases in Jakarta in only 4 years. Moving forward, the campaign has expanded to include West Java aiming to reach 1.8 million people.
